About US
About Us
At First Assembly Christian School, we believe
that all children are gifted by God to use their talents for His service. We
raise the bar academically, and through the loving encouragement of our
teachers, students go farther than they ever dreamed possible. FACS is
accredited by two outside organizations – ACSI and SACS. Both of these groups
require annual reports and on-site visits every five years. They look at all
areas of our school, including our Philosophy, Goals & Mission; School,
Home & Community; Admissions; School Personnel; School Board; School
Finances; Instructional Program; Student Activities; Media Center; Food
Services and Facilities.

NC End of Course Algebra I Exam (8th grade)
NC End of Course Spanish I Exam (8th grade)
NC End of Course Biology Exam (8th grade)
Typically, our students score at the 70
Percentile or above on the Stanford Achievement Test. This means that our
students are in the top 30% or above of those taking this national assessment.
FACS has two computer labs—a mobile netbook lab
and, our most recently updated lab in room 1119, housing twenty-four 2011 Dell
computers. In addition, middle school students are supplied with a netbook to
use in all classes. Students begin practicing computer skills in
kindergarten, building each year with keyboarding,
internet research skills, spreadsheets and PowerPoint projects. In addition,
each classroom is equipped with two computers, one hooked to the internet and
one used to run education software. Teachers have also been trained to use
Smart Board technology for interactive internet whole class instruction when
appropriate.
High School Placement in Honors classes
Almost all of our 8th grade graduates transition into public high schools
and take honors classes in English, History, Science and Math. The majority of
our graduates have already completed the Algebra and Computer Competency
requirement for high school graduation by the time they leave FACS. At First
Assembly Christian School, we believe that all children are gifted by God to
use their talents for His service. We raise the bar academically, and through
the loving encouragement of our teachers, we help students go farther than they
ever dreamed possible.
