It’s Been a Great Year

Thank you for a wonderful school year! I have watched our students – your kids – grow and mature and am very proud of their progress. Our graduating 8th grade class is an amazing group of kids. They are well prepared to excel academically and thrive spiritually as they move to a new chapter in life. It is rewarding to see their lives reflect hearts of service and commitment to the Lord!

SAT10 scores are in and overall they are some of the strongest in years – we are so proud of our students. These scores further support the success of our multi-grade program. Our awards day services celebrated some of the outstanding academic achievements but did not adequately reflect the spiritual growth happening in our midst. Parents and teachers have shared recent moments of spiritual growth – when a heart becomes tender and forgives, when a heart becomes bold and encourages another, when a heart stands strong in faith, and when a heart believes God’s Word and sees it come to fruition. We’ve seen behaviors change because hearts changed, we’ve heard of kids’ prayers bringing healing and peace, and we’ve watched God take the meek and mild and bring confidence and joy. Thank you for allowing us to partner with you to help your child grow. It is a privilege to serve with you! We love your kids and want God’s very best for them!

High School Classes Knocked Out Early
Congratulations to our 8th graders who passed and received high school credit for High School Spanish I, High School Algebra I, and High School Biology! 8th grade students who chose this accelerated path have studied hard and performed well. We are proud of their achievements! We thank their teachers (Senora Higgins, Mrs. Eckman, and Ms. Carr) for investing so much and preparing them so well!!!

We’re Expanding to 9th Grade!
We are so excited about the actualization of Winston Salem 9th—it is a dream come true! God placed this dream in our hearts two decades ago and has finally released us to make it happen! We are thankful for the monetary investment of visionaries who believe in what God wants to do through WS9th—you have made this dream affordable for all! We are thankful for the families who heard from God and can see the benefit of this amazing experience. This 9th grade year will be full of spiritual growth, leadership opportunities, strong academics, and service in the community. These kids will grow up fast as we help them identify and develop their personal giftings and talents. Stay tuned for updates on their progress and opportunities. By the way - we are still enrolling!

Did You Know...
That while many schools are closing out their Spanish programs in elementary school, FACS has expanded Spanish to reach Kindergarten through 8th grade – with 8th graders having the option to take the End of Course for Spanish I for high school credit…

That FACS students invest in others, sharing Christ’s love by: supplying school supplies to some of the under resourced children of our city, by collecting coats for kids who don’t own one, by serving at the Soup Kitchen, by mentoring kids at a local elementary school, and by sponsoring a family through Shelter Rock Ministries and furnishing their newly renovated house…

Blessings,
Pastor Liz
